I like it when being a finder also means not discounting things you notice, and investigating, as you did with the scarf. I do that too, and I think most people don't. I love seeing things that look odd or out of place, and going back and finding out what they really are. Found a $20 bill once, because the green looked out of place in some dry, cream-colored grasses. And a beautiful broken blue crow's egg on a grey-brown pile of wood.
